Tired of Missing out on having fun with your Grandkids because of Low Back Issues?

Gaithersburg Doctor Reveals the Highly Effective Treatment Protocol that has been helping local Seniors Finally Overcome Long Term Low Back Pain.

... without Expensive Medications or Surgeries.

One of the most frustrating things in the world is not being able to participate in life's most enjoyable activities because your body isn't cooperating. An unfortunate fact is that many senior citizens in the world today have to miss out on life because of debilitating low back pain.

Many Low Back Pain sufferers over the age of 50 are quick to blame their condition on advancing age. While age does play a factor, there is usually a deeper cause to why their low back is in such bad shape. The good news is that once you understand the usual core causes of low back pain in people around the ages of 50-65, you can actually do something about it with some very simple and inexpensive treatments. Once you understand what is actually causing your low back pain, you can actually do a lot to avoid the things that caused it (and finally be rid of the pain that you might have been dealing with for years).

So... If you are over the age of 50, what are the most likely culprits that have caused low back pain and kept you from experiencing life to the fullest? (keep reading)

What are the Most Likely Causes of Chronic Low Back Pain when You're Over 50?

Low Back Pain can be caused by a lot of different things but, in people between the ages of 50-65, there are some usual culprits that are most likely the cause.

  • Arthritis in the Hips or Spine:
When your hips or low back are injured or aren't functioning properly, your body does it's best to adapt to the situation so that you can keep moving. In the beginning this adaptation takes the form of muscles compensating for the issue. Over time the muscles can become weak and can no longer handle adapting to the stress on the body.

When muscle adaptation starts to fail, your body makes a more permanent adaptation to the stress that is being put on it. To do this, your body will start to change the structure of the skeleton in order to help. This is part of what causes the process of degenerative arthritis in your body. While this "adaptation" helps your body deal with the stress that is being put on it, it also causes some very permanent issues that will eventually turn into chronic low back issues.
  • Bulging or Herniated Lower Spinal Discs:
When you put continued stress on the "shock absorbing structures" in between the bony parts of your spine, they can start to shrink or perform in a way that isn't healthy. Think of your discs as balloons that are getting constantly squeezed in one direction all the time as you go about your day. The difference between bulging and herniated discs is usually the difference between the need for aggressive care or surgery (this can be determined via an exam and advanced imaging).
  • Leg Issues that end up Causing Lower Back Issues:
Sometimes low back pain is simply a symptom of your low back adapting to issues in your knees and feet. Many times correcting the knee or foot issue is enough to take an enormous amount of stress off of your low back.
So now that you've learned a little bit about some of the most common causes of Low Back Pain in Older Adults, what can you do to deal with those issues and start relieving that pain that is being caused (and get back to functioning at a higher level)?
The Treatment Protocol We've Been Successfully Using to Help People over the Age of 50 to Get Relief from Their Low Back Pain.

Family Chiropractic's
Senior Low Back Pain Treatment Protocol

Over the last 10 years in practice we've focused our office on helping seniors beat low back pain. While some offices focus on being a "catch all" provider, we have been dialing in our procedure for helping patients who suffer from a few specific ailments.

After working with hundreds of Seniors who have been afflicted with low back pain for years, we've developed a treatment protocol that is specifically tailored to the body of a Senior Citizen. Because of this focus we've developed a gentle and medication-free Low Back Pain treatment that has been very successful.

Our Special Treatment Protocol uses a combination of Gentle Spinal and Hip Adjustments, Foot Leveling Technology, our Electrical Muscle Stimulation and Rehab Protocol, as well as a Focused personal Home Rehabilitation program.

The Careful Combination of these treatments can help you overcome years of wear and tear that you may have put your body through. Our Senior Low Back Pain Treatment Protocol works well because we push your body only as far as it needs to go at each treatment. We take special care to never overdo it or push your body too fast. Most of the low back issues we see took years to develop and we make sure that we give your body the adequate amount of time that it needs to adapt to treatment.

Our success rate with this condition is based on the fact that we always allow your body to do what it needs to do. No two patient's low back conditions are alike and we make sure that we treat each condition as such. This is critical in making sure that you heal as quickly as possible, while staying safe.

We work for you and our job is to make sure you know all of the options out there and can make an informed decision.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Does Your Office Require X-Rays or Advanced Imaging?
We do not X-ray or use advanced imaging on all of our patients. If, after an exam is given, the Doctor requires further imaging to make a diagnosis, he will recommend that at the time. We only believe in doing advanced imaging when it is absolutely necessary to make a diagnosis.
  • Does Your Office Accept my Insurance?
We accept a variety of insurance coverage. To confirm benefits, fill out the form above so that our office can call you and get your information. We will then contact your insurance company and confirm that you are covered before you decide to move forward.
  • What if My Insurance isn't Accepted?
We have a variety of options to make treatment affordable for our patients who don't have insurance or fall outside of our coverage area. We do everything we can to make the cost of care easy and affordable for everyone who is trying to get well.
  • How Much Does it Cost?
Every patient has a different condition and because of that each patient will have a different treatment plan. We will always explain the cost before we do anything that you have to pay for and will also assist you in payment options. We would be happy to talk with you on specifics at any time via phone or in the office.
  • What If I'm Afraid of the Chiropractor because of Something I've heard a Friend Say?
We understand. Over the years there has been a ton of misinformation about the safety of Chiropractic. While Chiropractic has been proven time and again to be one of the safest treatments for Musculoskeletal conditions, we still understand your concern. In our office, we never do anything without explaining it to you first and getting your permission. We have a strict "No Surprises" Policy when it comes to treatment and that's just one of the reasons that first time Chiropractic Patients (as well as patients who have used our services for years) love our office so much.
